No spring game for Mizzou amidst north end zone construction

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
For the next two seasons, in 2025 and 2026, the Mizzou football announced it will not be hosting a spring game due to the ongoing construction in the north end zone of Faurot Field.
However, head coach Eli Drinkwitz and company will still begin spring camp, as scheduled, on Friday, Feb. 28. The session will run through about mid-March, as MU prepares for the 2025 campaign.
The Tigers come into another season, fresh off of back-to-back 10-plus win seasons for just the third time in program history. As Coach Drinkwitz begins his sixth season at the helm of Mizzou football, he joins College Football Hall of Famer Gary Pinkel as the only two MU head coaches with multiple 10-win campaigns under their belt.
Mizzou has finished the year in the Top-25 the last two-straight seasons and has ended those years with a combined 21-5 overall record, including an 11-5 mark in Southeastern Conference play.
However, 2025 will come with some changes in personnel for MU football.
Veteran quarterback Brady Cook, wide receivers Luther Burden, Theo Wease Jr. and Mookie Cooper, running backs Marcus Carroll and Nate Noel, as well as offensive linemen Armand Membou and Cam'Ron Johnson have all graduated and will hope to make it at the next level.
Defensively, the Tigers graduated star defensive end Johnny Walker Jr., defensive lineman Kristian Williams, as well as linebackers Chuck Hicks and Corey Flagg Jr.
There will be a bit of a changing of the guard from a leadership and productivity standpoint in 2025, as Coach Drinkwitz comes into the year with the No. 5 transfer portal class in the nation. It's a class that includes former Penn State backup quarter Beau Pribula, who will battle to take over Cook's role on the team.
During the upcoming season, the Tigers are set to host Central Arkansas for the season opener at Faurot Field. In addition to the Bears, MU will also welcome Kansas, Louisiana, South Carolina, Massachusetts, Alabama, Texas A&M and Mississippi State to Memorial Stadium.
