COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Iowa State opened up the dual with four-straight wins, which led to a 15-0 hole that Tiger Style needed to try to dig itself out of.
Redshirt sophomore James Conway answered the call for energy in the Hearnes Center, in the fifth matchup of the day. Just before intermission, unranked Conway provided a pivotal 9-3 upset win over No. 11 Cody Chittum at 157 pounds to pick up the first points of the day for MU. The victory was a bit of revenge for Conway, who lost to Chittum just one season ago.

From there, the momentum swung the way of the Tigers. Redshirt sophomore Cam Steed and senior Keegan O'Toole each recorded wins by fall to tie the match at 15 points apiece. However, for O'Toole, the victory meant just a little bit more, as well.

It marked the first time in exactly two months that the Wisconsin-native took the mat for competition. Fitting of everything he's achieved in the black and gold, he ended his time at the Hearnes Center by coming through with a pin and his 100th-career win, as well. With the victory, he improved to 12-0 on the season.

After that, Mizzou couldn't quite string together the wins it needed for a comeback against the Cyclones, as redshirt juniors Colton Hawks and Jesse Cassatt came up short in 1-0 and 4-2 losses, respectively.
The match did close out on a high note, though. Redshirt junior Seth Nitzel avenged his loss to 26th-ranked Daniel Herrera from earlier in the season, with an 8-3 decision victory.
