No. 10 Mizzou gymnastics closes out first SEC meet with perfect 10

KMIZ

NORMAN, Okla. (KMIZ)

The No. 10 Mizzou gymnastics team didn't come out with its first conference win in the road trip to Norman, Oklahoma, but the Tigers did give fans a lot to be excited about as the season really begins.

MU ended up losing to the No. 1 Sooners 197.775-196.750, but head coach Shannon Welker and company did end up with the best score of the night.

On the final rotation of the meet, Tiger standout Helen Hu registered the first perfect 10.000 of the 2025 gymnastics season, with a flawless routine on the beam. It is the graduate student's first-career 10, as she returned to the team this season following a year off. That score, of course, earned Hu the title on beam against Oklahoma.

Hu's 10.000 is just the fourth team that an MU gymnast has finished with perfection on the beam. It's a feat that was most recently achieved by alum Sienna Schreiber in March, 2024.

Mizzou junior Jocelyn Moore nearly achieved perfection on the vault, as well. She ended up with the meet's highest score on the vault with a 9.975 and the event title.

On the bars, Mara Titarsolej anchored the team's rotation with her second-straight 9.900.

In addition to those high scores, freshman Railey Jackson had a career night in her first-ever SEC meet. She finished with a personal best on both beam and floor, each with scores of 9.875.

Up next - Mizzou will return to Columbia for its first meet inside the Hearnes Center in 2025, as No. 8 Kentucky will come to town. The action is set to start at 5 p.m.
