Two more Mizzou standouts declare for 2025 NFL Draft
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
Two more Tiger football standouts have declared for the 2025 NFL Draft, which brings the total up to 10 declarations for head coach Eli Drinkwitz.
On Sunday night, linebacker Corey Flagg Jr. and offensive lineman Cam'Ron Johnson both announced their plans to take a shot at the next level.
Flagg Jr. transferred into Mizzou from Miami ahead of the 2024 campaign and made an instant impact on this program. He ended his final collegiate season with a team-high total of 81 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, one sack, one quarterback hurry, one interception and a fumble recovery.
Before coming to Columbia, he spent four seasons as a standout for the Canes. Flagg Jr. saw action in 43 games at Miami and recorded 48 total tackles in 2023. In 2022, he ranked third on the team with 56 tackles.
Johnson also made his mark with the Tigers, after spending two seasons in Columbia following a stint at Houston.
The right guard was a part of a standout 2023 offensive line for Coach Drinkwitz. It was a unit which earned a semifinalist nod from the Joe Moore Award, which honors the nation's most outstanding offensive line. That o-line rushed for 200 yards on five occasions in 2024 and reached triple digits in rushing in all but one outing.
In 2024, the line led the offense to an average of about 164 rushing yards per game to compliment an average of about 389 yards of total offense per game.
Up next - Flagg Jr. and Johnson will now work towards the NFL Draft, which will take place Thursday, April 24 through Saturday, April 26 in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
