Mizzou wide receiver enters the transfer portal
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
On the first day the NCAA transfer portal opened, Mizzou wide receiver Mekhi Miller announced that he is throwing his name in, after three seasons in Columbia.
The Overland Park, Kansas native appeared in 12 games in 2024, grabbing three receptions for 35 yards.
In his junior season, he did see less production than he had in his first two years as a Tiger. In 2023, during his sophomore campaign, Miller appeared in all 11 games, even earning a starting nod in the upset win against Kansas State. In that season, he caught 11 passes for 148 yards and one touchdown, averaging about 13 yards per catch.
He made three starts in his freshman year, playing in all 13 games. Miller finished the year with eight receptions for 128 yards.
Miller came to Mizzou by way of Blue Valley North High School, where he was a three-star receiver and the No. 2 recruit in the entire state of Kansas.
The junior joins punter Orion Phillips, long snapper Jack Kautz and linebacker Brayshawn Littlejohn in Tiger players that have announced their intentions to enter the transfer portal.
