Mizzou hoops grabs sixth-straight victory in win over Lindenwood

KMIZ

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Mizzou men's basketball team extended their winning streak to six games with an 81-61 win over Lindenwood on Wednesday night.

Three Tigers got into double-digit scoring in the victory, with guard Tony Perkins leading the charge with 18 points. Guard Marques Warrick and forward Trent Pierce followed him up with 17 and 12 points, respectively. Mizzou also scored a total of 64 points off the bench.

A scary moment happened during the first half of Wednesday night's game. Guard Caleb Grill went down with an injury and was on the floor for quite a bit. He was taken off the court on a stretcher, but gave the crowd a thumbs up on the way out.

A team spokesperson told ABC 17 that Grill is dealing with a 'head and neck injury,' but is responsive. The team took him to the hospital as a precautionary measure.

Up next - Mizzou will host in Cal in the ACC/SEC Challenge on Tuesday, Dec. 3 at 6 p.m.
