Mizzou football makes its way back into the latest AP Poll, following win over Oklahoma
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
One week after going unranked, the Mizzou football team made its way back into the AP Poll, following a thrilling win over Oklahoma on Saturday night. The Tigers are now the No. 24 team in the nation.
The ranking comes after a standout defensive performance and gritty play from MU's backup quarterback led to a 30-23 over the Sooners at Faurot Field. With the win, head coach Eli Drinkwitz and company improved to 7-2 overall and 3-2 in SEC play.
The Tigers are one of nine Southeastern Conference schools placed in the Top-25 teams in the nation. You can find a full look at the list below.

In addition to moving up into the AP Poll, Coach Drinkwitz and his crew also got a boost in the latest Coaches Poll, as well. Mizzou went from No. 22 to No. 21 with Saturday's win.
After the rivalry win against the Sooners, head coach Eli Drinkwitz made sure to mention to the SEC Network broadcast that his team is still in the fight for the College Football Playoff, with three games left on the schedule.
The SEC standings, at this point, do leave some room for Mizzou to play with. There are three one loss teams and five two loss teams in the league, including MU.
Up next - No. 24 Mizzou will hit the road for a tough matchup with No. 23 South Carolina. Kickoff is slated for 3:15 p.m. CT in Columbia East.
