Mizzou football jumps to No. 9 in latest AP Poll, following bye week
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
Mizzou football is a Top-10 team in the nation, once again.
After an eventful weekend of college football, the Tigers jumped up two spots in the latest AP Poll. Drinkwitz and his team will head into Week 6 action ranked No. 9 in the country, following a bye week.
The Tigers entered the bye with the best record they could have at this point in the season: 4-0. However, after MU's double overtime win against Vanderbilt in Week 4, Coach Drink pinpointed quite a few areas he wants cleaned up before the team's first road trip of the season.
Mizzou has a big test ahead in Week 6. On Saturday, Oct. 5, MU will travel to College Station to meet Texas A&M, who dropped to No. 25 in the poll, in the Tigers' first road trip of the 2024 season.
Mizzou's jump in the AP Poll comes after a big weekend of college football, where multiple SEC teams went head-to-head and saw movement in the Top-25, as a result of those matchups. There are now a total of five Southeastern Conference teams in the Top-10, including MU.
