RECAP: Mizzou toughs out first ranked test of the season

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Mizzou football team survived their first real test of the season, on Saturday, beating then-No. 24 Boston College 27-21. Despite the ranked win, the Tigers dropped one spot in the AP Top-25, sitting at No. 7.

In the words of head coach Eli Drinkwitz, it was not a pretty win, but it did show him a lot about hiss 2024 team.

"It was the first time that we had to face some adversity and I think everybody has to settle into what that fist fight was gonna be," he said. "I think you saw a team that's committed to each other, a team that responds, a team that is never out of the fight."
