RECAP: Mizzou starts 1-0 courtesy of a season-opening rout
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
The Mizzou football team thoroughly dominated Murray State in the season opener, on Thursday, showing off its newcomers on the offensive and defensive side of the the ball.
The 51-point shutout is a good way to start the season, but head coach Eli Drinkwitz and company aren't patting themselves on the back.
"Two years ago we had a big win and then kinda laid an egg the very next week because we patted ourselves on the back, you know, for a week. So, we're not gonna do that," Drinkwitz said.
