Eli Drinkwitz lands 12th commitment of 2025 class

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Mizzou football coach Eli Drinkwitz added another playmaker to his 2025 recruiting class on Sunday night, as three-star cornerback Mark Manfred announced he is coming to Columbia.

Manfred is the 12th recruit to commit to Drinkwitz's Class of 2025. The group is currently ranked No. 18 in the nation, according to On3's industry rankings, and 10th in the SEC. MU has commitments from one five-star prospect, five four-stars and six three-stars.

The Marietta, Georgia native picked the Tigers over a slew of other SEC offers, but he had only taken official visits to MU, Ole Miss, Cincinnati and Miami towards the end of his recruiting process.

The 6-foot-3, 180-pound corner recorded 57 tackles, five tackles for loss, one interception, one forced fumble and four passes defended during his junior season at Sprayberry High School. However, he's been a consistent playmaker for the Yellow Jackets, even from a young age, as he played in 11 games during his sophomore year. During that season, he was a Georgia Region 7-AAAAAA first-team selection on defense, tallying 27 tackles and two interceptions.

Manfred joins three-star safety Dyllon Williams as the only two DBs to commit to Mizzou in 2025. You can find a full list of commitments for that group below (all rankings according to On3).
