Two Mizzou football players enter the transfer portal

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Two Mizzou football players announced their entry into the transfer portal, on Tuesday. Tight end Ryan Hoerstkamp and defensive lineman Ky Montgomery made the official announcements on social media.

There are also reports out that running back Michael Cox is set to enter the portal, however, there has been no official word from him yet.

Hoerstkamp did not play in any games in 2023, but appeared in 11 over the course of the 2022 and 2021 seasons. The Washington, Mo. native will end his time in Columbia with a total of two catches for 32 yards and one touchdown.

Montgomery did not see action in any of his three seasons with the Tigers, after redshirting his freshman year. The Indianapolis native came to Mizzou as a four-star prospect and the nation's No. 8 weak side defensive end, according to Rivals. He will have three years of eligibility left to use at another school.
