South Callaway alum earns NAIA All-American honors

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Former South Callaway girls basketball standout DeLaney Horstman earned an All-American nod on Monday. The Columbia College standout was named to the NAIA All-American Third Team for the first time in her career.

The forward had quite a junior season for the Cougars. She led her team in blocks, rebounds, points, points per game and field goal percentage. She also collected program record of 21 rebounds against Ozark Christian in Jan., which also tied the school record of 17 double-doubles on the season.

The All-American nod can be added to the list of other accolades Horstman collected over the season, including First-Team All-Conference honors and All-Defensive Team honors.

The Mokane-native and her Cougar team finished as both the regular season AMC Champions and AMC Tournament Champions in 2023-24. After a successful conference run, Columbia College made it to the NAIA Women's Basketball Tournament, but fell out in the first round against Wayland Baptist University.
