Mizzou appoints search committee for athletic director hire
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
Mizzou is taking its search for a new athletic director to the next level. The University announced the appointment of a search committee and the hiring of a firm to assist the committee in the hunt for a new leader.
TurnkeyZRG, a firm specializing in leadership recruitment in college athletics across the United States, will help Mizzou Athletics in the coming weeks.
“We’re seeking a leader who will support our coaches and student-athletes to achieve their championship goals,” University of Missouri President Mun Choi said in a press release. “Our fans and supporters in Missouri and beyond deserve the very best from Mizzou Athletics.”
Meanwhile, the search committee is made up of a mix of Mizzou officials, members of the Board of Curators, donors and more. You can find a full list of the members of the search committee below.

“The heart and soul of athletics is the community of outstanding athletes, coaches and fans that all wear the Black and Gold,” said Bob Blitz, curator and chair of the search committee, said in a press release. “Mizzou is rapidly ascending to the top of the SEC, the dominant conference in college athletics. Our athletics director must go to work every day with a priority focused on excellence in fundraising, facilities and game-day experiences to support our community and the quest for championships.”
The appointment of a committee came about two weeks after former AD Desiree Reed-Francois announced her departure for Arizona.
