Stephens College tops William Woods in AMC quarterfinal action

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Stephens College basketball team is advancing in the AMC Tournament, after a dominant 87-48 win over William Woods on Friday afternoon.

The Stars were hot out of the gates, going on a 9-0 run to start the quarterfinal game.

Guard Alayasia Douglas led the scoring charge for Stephens, with a game-high 16 points. Four of Douglas' teammates also got into double-digit scoring.

Up next - Stephens College will play in the AMC Tournament semifinals on Saturday, March 2 at 3:30 p.m.
