The Tigers only found themselves with a 42-38 deficit at halftime, despite the fact that the Pirates were shooting nearly 61 percent from the field. However, the second half got away from MU as Seton Hall led by as many as 19.

Much like the fight shown in the loss to Kansas just one weekend prior, Mizzou made it a ball game at the end. With less than a minute to play, it was a six-point game. But, head coach Dennis Gates and company couldn't pull off any magic in front of the Kansas City fans, as every time the Tigers got within 10, the Pirates managed to shut it down.

Seton Hall finished shooting 58 percent from the field with five players scoring into double-digits, two of them getting above the 20-point mark.

Guard Tamar Bates led the way for MU in his return to his hometown. The Kansas City-native led the team with 22 points, which included four 3-pointers, in the loss. He also added on a couple rebounds and an assist.

Guards Sean East II and Nick Honor were the only two other Tigers that got into double-digit scoring. East tallied 16 points, while Honor finished with 14.

Up next - Mizzou will make a trip to St. Louis to face Illinois in the annual Braggin' Rights game. Tip off is at 8 p.m. at the Enterprise Center on Friday, Dec. 22.
