After snapping then-No. 1 Georgia's 29-game win streak in the SEC Championship game, on Saturday, the Alabama Crimson Tide snuck into the College Football Playoffs, on Sunday.

The Tide will be the representative for the Southeastern Conference. The full semifinal slate is listed below.

  1. Michigan
  2. Washington
  3. Texas
  4. Alabama

The Tide will face No. 1 Michigan in the Rose Bowl for a spot in the National Championship, while Washington and Texas will go head-to-head in the Sugar Bowl.

Texas came in in the No. 3 spot, ahead of Alabama, after being the only team to top the Crimson Tide in 2023.

Notably, the undefeated ACC champion, Florida State, was left out of the Top-4, coming in at No. 5. During the ESPN broadcast, one committee member said the decision was due to star quarterback Jordan Travis being out for the remainder of the season. He went down with a leg injury in a non-conference meeting with North Alabama on Nov. 18 and the Seminoles have looked like a different team, ever since.

The Rose Bowl match up between Michigan and Alabama will be played on Monday, Jan. 1 at 4 p.m. Then, the Sugar Bowl meeting between Washington and Texas will be at 7:45 p.m. on Jan. 1, as well.
