Mizzou holds off Loyola Maryland to improve to 5-2
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
The Mizzou men's basketball team fended off an upset from Loyola Maryland at the Arena, on Saturday. The Tigers topped the Greyhounds 78-70 to improve to 5-2 on the season.

Noah Carter led the scoring attack for MU, with 18 points on the night. However, guard Sean East impressed in the second half, putting up 15 of his 17 points. Both guards Nick Honor and Anthony Robinson also chipped in with double-digit scoring efforts.
The Tigers held more than a 20 point lead over Loyola in the first half, however, the Greyhounds heated up from the field and made it just a four-point Mizzou lead at halftime.
A combination of strong shooting from East and Carter, as well as forcing a season-high 18 turnovers was enough to propel coach Gates and company to its second-straight win.
