Chiefs can’t fend off the Eagles, fall to 7-3 on the season
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)
The Philadelphia Eagles got revenge over the Kansas City Chiefs for the loss in Super Bowl LVII, on Monday night. A late push from the birds was enough to get past KC, 21-17, at Arrowhead Stadium.
Kansas City led 17-7 in the third quarter, however, Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts led two touchdown drives to snatch away the lead. The first one put his team within three points, courtesy of a 10-yard rushing touchdown from Hurts, himself. The second one came courtesy of the famous 'tush push' and gave Philly the 21-17 lead, after Hurts delivered a dime to Devonta Smith to put them on the one yard line.
Patrick Mahomes completed 55 percent of his passes, on Monday night. He tallied 177 yards, two touchdowns and one interception.
Hurts also had an interception, but completed 63 percent of his passes for 150 yards. He also ran in a couple of touchdowns.
Head coach Andy Reid is typically dominate coming off a bye week, as he was 21-3 coming off of regular season byes coming into Monday's game. He dropped to 21-4 all-time, with the loss to his former team/
