The Tigers and the Bulldogs were tied at halftime, as the two teams traded punches in the first two quarters. MU scored the first touchdown of the game, courtesy of a 39-yard dime from Brady Cook to Luther Burden to make it a 7-3 game.

The Tiger defense struggled to stop the pass attack in that opening half though, as Georgia's Carson Beck hit former Mizzou standout Dominic Lovett for a touchdown to take the lead back from Mizzou, 10-3. Just before the break, Cook put together an 11-play, 61-yard drive, which fell short of a touchdown, but did get the game tied at 10 with a 37-yard field goal from Harrison Mevis.

After halftime, Mizzou put together another field goal drive, one ended in history for Mevis. With that field goal, the 'Thicker Kicker' became the all-time leading scorer in program history, with 364 points.

However, once again, the Bulldogs responded. Beck ran a six-play, 65-yard drive, which all ended with Kendall Milton running in a 15-yard touchdown to take a 17-13 lead in the fourth quarter.

Despite Mizzou making it a three-point game in the fourth quarter, a critical interception thrown by Cook with under 10 minutes to play was too much to overcome, as Georgia took a 30-21 lead.

Cook finished the game with 212 yards and one touchdown, along with two interceptions. His top target was Theo Wease Jr. who caught five catches for 90 yards in the loss.

Running back Cody Schrader continued to be the bell cow for the Tiger offense. He wrapped up Saturday's game in Athens with 22 yards on 12 carries, scoring one touchdown.

Defensively, linebacker Ty'Ron Hopper was listed as questionable coming into the game, but finished with a team-high 10 total tackles. He also added on a sack and one tackle for loss.

Up next - Mizzou will host Tennessee at Faurot Field on Saturday, Nov. 11. The kickoff time has not been announced yet.
