Mizzou hoops releases non-conference schedule

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Mizzou men's basketball team released the 2023-24 non-conference schedule on Friday, ahead of year two with Dennis Gates at the helm.

The Tigers are scheduled to play one of their more challenging schedules in years with five games against power conference opponents and seven contests against schools from the nation's top seven conferences.

The season will kick off on Nov. 6 when the Tigers host Arkansas-Pine Bluff to Columbia. MU will then hosts the defending AAC champion in Memphis on Nov. 10 and SIU Edwardsville on Nov. 13.

The Tigers hit the road for the first time with a Nov. 16 contest at Minnesota before the team's second three-game home stand against Jackson State (Nov. 19), South Carolina State (Nov. 22) and Loyola Maryland (Nov. 25).

Mizzou then plays at Pittsburgh on Nov. 28 in the ACC/SEC Challenge before returning to Columbia to face Wichita State on Dec. 3.

The Border Showdown returns on Dec. 9 at Kansas before a neutral-site contest against Seton Hall at T-Mobile Center on Dec. 17. 

The Tigers then head into the holiday break with their traditional McBride Homes Braggin' Rights matchup versus Illinois on Friday, Dec. 22 in St. Louis.

Mizzou wraps up non-conference action on Dec. 30 with a home game against Central Arkansas.
