Mizzou’s Kerrick Jackson rounds out coaching staff

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Mizzou baseball coach Kerrick Jackson made the final hires for his 2024 coaching staff on Wednesday. MU Athletics officially announced the additions of a director of player personnel and a director of player development.

Jose Carballo will serve as that director of player personnel. He will come to Columbia after a five-year stint on the coaching staff at his alma mater, Bethune-Cookman University. He most recently served as the program's hitting coach, working primarily with infielders and catchers.

Joseph Dattoli will be the director of player development, after serving on Jackson's staff at Memphis in 2022. He held that same role that season and also worked with Jackson during his tenure at Southern University, where he oversaw player development for the Jaguars.

Dattoli hails from St. Louis and previously served as the lead analyst for Prep Baseball Report's data operations team and its West Coast operation director.

The two will join assistant coach Jabari Brown, former head coach Tim Jamieson and Bryson LeBlanc on Jackson's first staff in Columbia.
