Mizzou hoops lands commitment from four-star forward

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Mizzou men's basketball coach Dennis Gates now has two recruits in his class of 2024, after four-star forward Marcus Allen committed to the Tigers on Monday.

Allen is ranked No. 60 in the 2024 ESPN 100. He's also, according to Rivals, the No. 52 ranked prospect in the nation and the No. 18 ranked prospect at forward. The Florida-native chose MU over Arkansas, Miami, Michigan, Ohio State and Stanford.

Allen is the highest rated recruit that Mizzou hoops has picked up since 2017 when Columbia-natives Michael Porter Jr. and Jontay Porter decided to stay home.

Allen will be joining four-star point guard Antonio Barrett in Gates' 2024 class.
