Show Me Squad shows out in TBT opener
WICHITA, Kan. (KMIZ)
The Basketball Tournament, otherwise known as TBT, tipped off on Wednesday on the campus of Wichita State. The No. 4-seeded Show Me Squad, made up of Mizzou hoops alumni, won its first round game against the Vegas Rebellion, 96-90,
TBT is a 64-team, single elimination tournament, which runs in July and August. The winning team will take home one million dollars. The event is spread through eight cities around the country.
The Show Me Squad was put together by MU alum Phil Pressey and is coached by former Tiger basketball assistant Brad Loos. The team showed out in game one.
Columbia-natives Jontay Porter and Isiaih Mosley came to play on Wednesday. Porter racked up 21 points, 15 rebounds, five assists and three blocks. Mosley finished with 23 points of his own.

Next up - the Show Me Squad will be playing the No. 1 seed, Mass Street, in the second round on Saturday, July 22.
