COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Eli Drinkwitz's 2024 Mizzou football class got two new additions on Friday afternoon. The first announcement came from in-state wide receiver Jude James and the second from safety Jackson Hancock out of Georgia.

James was part of the Francis Howell football team that is coming off of a state championship win.

The 6-foot-4, 200-pound prospect hauled in 27 catches for 584 yards and eight total touchdowns in his junior season. He also excelled on the defensive side of the ball tallying 119 tackles and four interceptions while being named All-State in Class 5.

Hancock, the safety from Sequoyah in Georgia, became the second commitment of the day. According to MaxPreps, last season he recorded 49 tackles, three pass deflections, four forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.

This marks five total commitments for the 2024 class. The three others include in-state TE Whit Hafer, in-state offensive tackle Ryan Jostes and quarterback Aidan Glover.
