Kerrick Jackson adds Mizzou hall of famer Tim Jamieson and two others as assistants

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Less than four weeks after taking over the Mizzou baseball team, head coach Kerrick Jackson has added MU fall of famer Tim Jamieson and two others to his staff.

On top of the addition of Jamieson, Jackson will also be assisted by Jabari Brown and former Tiger outfielder Bryson LeBlanc.

Jamieson returns to Columbia after serving as pitching coach under Jackson last season at Memphis. As Mizzou's head coach from 1995-2016, Jamieson earned 1996 Big 8 Coach of the Year and 2007 Big 12 Co-Coach of the Year honors.

With the Tigers, Jamieson won 35 games or more nine times during his head coaching career. He led Mizzou to seven consecutive NCAA postseason appearances from 2003 to 2009, including the program's first Super Regional berth in 2006.

Jackson was an assistant and recruiting coordinator for Jamieson at MU from 2011-15.

Jackson also adds a former Tiger student-athlete. LeBlanc played on two NCAA Regional-qualifying teams under Jamieson in 2005 and 2006 before embarking on his coaching career. LeBlanc returns to Columbia after serving as an assistant coach at UC San Diego for the last five seasons.

The third assistant is also no stranger to the SEC. Brown will join the Tigers after working with one of the nation's top programs for the past two years. Brown was named the first recipient of Vanderbilt's Maggie Corbin Minority Baseball Apprenticeship and spent the 2022 and 2023 seasons gaining knowledge in skill and leadership development, practice organization, video analysis, scouting, analytics and program building.

As a member of the Commodores' staff, Brown was a part of Vanderbilt's 2023 SEC Tournament championship team.
