Dennis Gates lands first commit for 2024 class

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Mizzou men's basketball coach Dennis Gates landed his first 2024 commitment on Thursday in four-star guard Antonio "T.O." Barrett.

The 6-foot-5 Oklahoma native helped lead Edmond North High School to a 27-2 overall record this season and a Class 6A state championship.

Barrett is planning to transfer to Link Academy in Branson, Mo. next season and play in the National Interscholastic Basketball Conference (NIBC).

He ranks as the No. 124 overall prospect in the 2024 class, and No. 9 at combo guard.

Barrett chose Mizzou over offers from Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Tulsa, and others.
