Mizzou women’s basketball gets first look at upcoming SEC opponents

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Mizzou women's basketball team got its first look at the 2023-24 SEC opponents. The Tigers are looking to improve on their 6-10 conference record last season.

MU will play a 16-game conference slate hosting Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Ole Miss, South Carolina, Texas A&M, Vanderbilt and Arkansas to Mizzou Arena.

On the road, the Tigers will travel to Florida, Kentucky, Mississippi State, Tennessee, Arkansas, South Carolina, Vanderbilt and defending national champion LSU.

The home-and-home contests will be against Arkansas, South Carolina and Vanderbilt.

Last season, MU lost in the opening round of the SEC tournament and missed out on a selection to the NCAA tournament. In the offseason, head coach Robin Pingeton added eight players, three freshmen and five transfers.

Times and dates for these games will be announced at a later date. The 2024 SEC Women's Basketball Tournament will be held March 6-10 at Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, S.C.
