Mizzou hoops gets first look at 2023-24 SEC opponents

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Mizzou men's basketball team got its first look into upcoming SEC opponents for the 2023-24 season on Monday. The Tigers are coming off of their best ever conference finish in year one under head coach Dennis Gates.

During the conference's 18-game slate are five home-and-home series with Arkansas, Florida, Ole Miss, South Carolina and Texas A&M.

The Tigers are also set to host Auburn, Georgia, Mississippi State and Tennessee. Away games will be played at Alabama, Kentucky, LSU and Vanderbilt.

Last season, Mizzou placed fourth in the SEC regular-season standings, earning a double-bye in the conference tournament and advancing the SEC Semifinals for the first time in program history.

Conference play tips off on Jan. 6 and runs through March 9. Dates and times of these matchups will be released at a later time.
