Mizzou picks up commitment from 7-foot forward

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Mizzou men's basketball coach Dennis Gates secured a late Sunday night commitment from Oral Roberts transfer Conner Vanover. The 7-foot-5 forward started his career at Cal and then played two seasons at Arkansas.

In his year his year with the Golden Eagles, he averaged about 12 points, seven rebounds and three blocks per game.

With Vanover's commitment, Gates now has two players over 7-foot on his roster for the 2023-24 season.

The Arkansas-native jumped into the transfer portal on May 3 after former Oral Roberts head coach Paul Mills accepted a job at Wichita State.
