Chiefs’ Isiah Pacheco holds youth football camp in Columbia
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
Kansas City Chiefs running back Isiah Pacheco was at Rock Bridge High School Sunday for a youth football camp, put on by Flexwork Sports Management, a company that sets up camps with professional and college athletes across the country.
Pacheco is coming off of a big rookie season in Kansas City, going from a seventh round draft pick, to the starter in the Super Bowl victory. He says it's really a surreal moment to get the opportunity to teach the future generation of athletes.
"I was a kid in these positions, so to be able to come and support whoever was hosting the camp and now I'm in the position as the one that's hosting the camp," Pacheco said. "I was in their shoes before, so I know how it feels to get the energy the support the love so I'm going to give them as much as I can to show them that they can be in the same shoes."

With the 2023 NFL draft wrapped up in Kansas City, there are a new group of rookies that may have had to wait a few rounds to hear their names. Pacheco's message to them is, "there's always going to be ups and downs in the road."
"Don't worry about the next man, worry about yourself and always remember there's going to be ups and downs, but you got to find ways to get over those and to eliminate distractions," Pacheco said.
Pacheco said Sunday that he has two goals for the upcoming season: get 1,000 yards and get another Super Bowl ring.
