Luke Mann earns All-SEC Second Team honors in historic season with Mizzou

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Mizzou third baseman and Missouri native, Luke Mann had been selected as a member of the All-SEC Second Team after a historic fifth season in the black and gold.

At the end of the regular season, Mann is leading the Tigers in hitting with an average of .318. He's also brought in 54 runs, hit 21 home runs and posting a 1.134 OPS.

Mann has climbed to the top of the Tigers' career home run chart with his season total of 21 homers that is currently tied for the second-best in Mizzou history. Not to mention, last Friday at Auburn, the St. Louis product hit the 49th homer of his MU career, matching Jacob Priday's 15-year-old Mizzou record.

Mann becomes the second Tiger infielder to earn all-conference honors, joining 2022 second-team shortstop Josh Day.

The Tigers are headed to the SEC tournament for the first time since 2019. Mizzou enters Tuesday's opening round as the 12th seed and will take on fifth-seeded Auburn.
