Helias soccer captures district championship in win against Southern Boone

BOONVILLE, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Helias girls soccer team won the Class 2, District 7 title in a 3-1 win against Southern Boone on Friday night.

The victory featured two goals from the Crusaders' Danielle Buker. Rae Bholken also knocked one in for Helias in the first half, as well.

With the win, the Saders will move into the state tournament bracket. First up - Helias will meet St. Pius X (Kansas City) in the state quarterfinal on Saturday, May 27.
