Mizzou’s opener at Auburn postponed; teams will play doubleheader on Friday

AUBURN, Al. (KMIZ)

The Mizzou baseball team is on the road this weekend for their final regular season SEC series at Auburn. Game one was set for Thursday at 6 p.m., but was postponed due to rain.

This means that the two teams will now play a doubleheader on Friday with game one starting at 2 p.m. A series victory could mark three straight for MU.

The Tigers enter the weekend tied with Georgia for the No. 11 seed in next week's SEC Tournament. The Tigers need either one victory or one Mississippi State loss vs. Texas A&M this weekend to secure their first trip to Hoover since 2019.

Nineteenth ranked Auburn has won its five SEC games after sweeping Ole Miss last weekend and taking two of three from No. 1 LSU the previous week.
