Kara Daly walks it off in extras for Mizzou to even the series with No. 12 Arkansas

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Jefferson City native Kara Daly and Columbia native Maddie Snider hit two home runs in the bottom of the eighth inning to even up the series with No. 12 Arkansas after a 4-3 victory.

Before the late home runs, the Tigers had just four total hits on the day and six hits in the series. The Razorbacks took an early 2-0 lead before MU tied it up in the fifth. Arkansas scored a run in the top of the eighth, but Mizzou answered first with Snider's homer and then Daly's to secure the win.

On the mound for MU, Laurin Krings pitched just over seven innings allowing five hits and three runs, plus recording five strikeouts. Freshman Taylor Pannell came in to close the game out not allowing a hit.

Mizzou is now 32-23 on the season and 6-17 in SEC games. Saturday's win comes on senior day as the Tigers are set to honor eight total seniors, including key members of their pitching core Jordan Weber and Megan Schumacher.

The series deciding game will be at the Mizzou Softball Stadium Sunday at 2 p.m.
