Mizzou defensive lineman signs with Jaguars as undrafted free agent
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
Mizzou defensive lineman DJ Coleman confirmed on social media Sunday afternoon that he has signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars as an undrafted rookie free agent.
Coleman spent one season in Columbia where he action in all 12 games during the regular season, making three starts. He finished the regular season with 37 total tackles, 8.5 tackles-for-loss, 4.5 sacks and a fumble recovery.
Before his time at Mizzou, Coleman spent the 2018-21 seasons at Jacksonville State. During his senior campaign, he played in 46 games totaled 55 tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss and three sacks. Coleman was selected as a 2020 / 2021 Stats Perform Second-Team All-American and All-OVC First-Team Defense as a junior.
Coleman went undrafted in the 2023 NFL Draft in Kansas City. The only Tiger that did have their name called was defensive end Isaiah McGuire in the fourth round. Safety Martez Manuel also signed as an UDFA to the Kansas City Chiefs.
