Sullivan adds outside hitter to Mizzou volleyball roster

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Mizzou volleyball coach Dawn Sullivan made a new addition to her roster Wednesday in graduate transfer Dilara Gedikoglu.

The 5-foot-10 outside hitter is coming to Columbia after spending the past three seasons at Arizona. For the Wildcats, she recorded 97 kills, 156 digs, 18 assists, and 19 aces as a senior, totaled 196 kills and 367 digs.

This is a big pick up for Sullivan after two power outside hitters Anna Dixon and Kaylee Cox left the program to enter the portal.

Gedikoglu also played on the Wildcats beach volleyball team and has earned national weekly honors from the AVCA (American Volleyball Coaches Association)/CBVB (College Beach Volleyball) as well as the Pac-12.

Gedikoglu transferred to Arizona after earning American Athletic Conference Freshman of the Year as well as All-AAC First Team and Volleyball Magazine All-Freshman Team Honorable Mention in 2019 at Tulsa.

She becomes Sullivan's second addition from the transfer portal since taking over at Mizzou.
