Mizzou men’s golf eliminated in SEC quarterfinals

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Mizzou men’s golf team fell short of the SEC Championship on Saturday morning after falling to No. 15 Texas A&M in the quarterfinals.

This marked the Tigers third-ever appearance in the quarterfinals. Against the Aggies, MU dropped all three completed contests in the best-of-five matchup. Jack Lundin fell 3-and-1 to No. 50 Sam Bennett, while Antonio Safa and DJ Springer both dropped 3-and-2 decisions to No. 52 William Paysse and Daniel Rodrigues.

Charlie Crockett and Alfons Bondesson were both within one stroke when the match was finalized.

Mizzou now awaits the NCAA Championship selection show on May 3.
