Laurin Krings throws no hitter in opening win against North Texas

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Mizzou pitcher Laurin Krings put on a stellar performance in the circle Friday recording a career-best 17 strikeouts and throwing a complete game no hitter in the 1-0 win over North Texas.

Krings did not allow a single hit or walk in her seven innings pitched. The only baserunner that got on reached on an error.

The Tigers didn't put on a good hitting performance in the series opener with just three total hits in the outing. The sole run came in the second inning with a solo home run from Julia Crenshaw.

Mizzou improves to 27-20 on the season and will continue the three-game series against North Texas Saturday at 3 p.m. at the Mizzou Softball Stadium.
