Mizzou defensive back enters the transfer portal

KMIZ

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Mizzou defensive back Marcus Scott became the fourth Tiger to enter the transfer portal over the course of seven days, on Sunday.

Scott made the announcement on social media. He said, "from top to bottom Mizzou has been a first class organization and institution, and I feel blessed to have been here. I appreciate Coach Drink for the opportunity and the entire staff for the support. Most importantly, thank you Mizzou fans for welcoming me to CoMo."

The former four-star recruit out of Texas did not play in 2022 due to an injury. The NCAA granted him a medical redshirt, which means he will have four years of eligibility left at his next school.

He graduated from Conroe High School as the No. 40 cornerback in the nation. He picked MU over Texas Tech, Houston, LSU and others.
