Mizzou softball back in the win column with run-rule over Lindenwood

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Mizzou softball showed a dominate performance against in-state foe Lindenwood Wednesday winning 9-0 to stay unbeaten in midweek action.

Missouri native freshman Cierra Harrison pitched a complete game on the mound allowing just one hit over five innings and recording six strikeouts.

The Tigers came out of the gate hot putting up five runs in the first inning. Riley Frizell and Megan Moll both hit two-run home runs. Julia Crenshaw also added two RBI's on the day and Alex Honnold went two-for-three with two triples.

MU is now 24-18 on the season. Up next, the home stand continues this weekend with a three-game series against Ole Miss. The matchup starts Saturday at 2 p.m.
