Two Mizzou offensive linemen enter transfer portal

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Mizzou offensive lineman Luke Griffin became the second Tiger lineman to enter the portal on Friday morning. The announcements come just days after MU hired a new offensive line coach.

Griffin started in eight games over the last three seasons at guard, with six of those starts coming in 2021. Overall, he appeared in 30 games in his three years in Columbia. He will have two years of eligibility remaining at his next school.

Griffin is joined in the portal by teammate Bobby Lawrence, who announced he is transferring on Thursday night. The Missouri native appeared in 36 games for Mizzou, but not in a starting capacity.

The news of these two transfers comes after head coach Eli Drinkwitz hired former Houston offensive line coach Brandon Jones on Wednesday.
