D’Moi Hodge takes second in 3-point contest

HOUTSON, Tx. (KMIZ)

Mizzou graduate guard D'Moi Hodge represented the Tigers in Houston Thursday evening by finishing in second place in the 2023 State Farm College 3-point contest.

In the opening round, Hodge scored five points each on his final two racks, but fell to Detroit's Antoine Davis 25-20.

In round two, Hodge took on Penn State's Andrew Funk. He again had his best rack in the final corner with five points and took down Funk 16-14 to advance to the championship.

The final round was a rematch with Davis. Hodge scored four in the opening rack in the corner and all six in last rack in the opposite corner, but Davis managed to outscore him 18-16.

Next up, Hodge will represent MU at the Reese's Division I All-Star Game playing on the East All-Star Team on Friday at 3:30 p.m.
