Mizzou baseball takes two midweek road wins

ST. CHARLES, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Mizzou baseball team is back in the win column after two midweek road wins against Illinois and Lindenwood.

The Tigers earned some Braggin' Rights on Tuesday taking down the Illini 6-5. Juju Stevens led the team going 2-for-3 with three RBI's and Logan Lunceford got the win on the mound pitching five innings and recording nine strikeouts.

Another victory came on Wednesday with a 7-5 win over in-state foe Lindenwood. Stevens and Hank Zeisler both brought in two runs each on the day and freshman Brock Lucas came to play on the mound getting seven K's.

With the wins, MU is now 19-6 on the season. Up next, the group looks to improve their 3-3 conference record with a road series at Kentucky. The three-game series is set to start Friday at 6:30 p.m.
