Capital City boys basketball program under new leadership

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Capital City boys basketball team is now under new leadership after the district announced Wednesday that Ryan Fick will take over for previous head coach Darrin Young.

Young first joined the Cavaliers in 2019.

Fick has 24 years of coaching experience, 17 of which come from his time as the varsity basketball coach at Blair Oaks High School. With the Falcons, the team made two trips to the final four, five trips to the state quarterfinals and won 10 district championships.

“We are committed to building champion programs at JC Schools,” said Jefferson City School District
