RECAP: Mizzou MBB honors an unforgettable senior class ahead of postseason play

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Mizzou men's basketball team took time to honor its nine seniors after Saturday's win against Ole Miss. Although nine guys were honored, only four players are officially out of eligibility. The remaining five will have a decision to make after the season.

The biggest decision lies in the hands of forward Kobe Brown. The long-time Tiger is a fan favorite, but wil likely be picking between Mizzou and the NBA when the season wraps up.

"I haven't really thought about it. You know, I'm just gonna wait till after the season to start thinking about that stuff," he said after Saturday's game.

Head coach Dennis Gates said although knowing that it's four of his players' last time playing at Mizzou Arena, the senior day expereince overall wasn't overly emotional for him.

"I hug them everyday so, you know, sometimes some coaches wait for events like this to hug them and tell kids that they love them," Gates said. "I've been doing it from day one and so it's easy."
