Mizzou baseball opens up Taylor Stadium with a run-rule win

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Mizzou baseball team routed Lindenwood in a 17-2, run-rule win in seven innings on season-opener at Taylor Stadium on Tuesday.

St. Louis native Luke Mann hit the lone home run for the Tigers, however, multiple guys brought in runs. Dalton Bargo, Helias alum Trevor Austin, Hank Zeisler, Ross Lovich, Ty Wilmsmeyer and Dylan Leach all drove in runs in the win.

Nic Smith got the win for MU on the mound. He pitched three solid innings with no runs allowed.

Up next - the home stand will continue, as Mizzou hosts Texas Southern in a three-game series, beginning on Friday, March 3 at Taylor Stadium.
