14 3-pointers lifts Mizzou MBB to a road win against Georgia

ATHENS, Ga. (KMIZ)

The Mizzou men's basketball team drained 14 3-pointers in an 85-63 win against Georgia on Saturday afternoon. The win lifted MU to 21-8 overall this season.

The Tigers got out to a slow start, offensively, in Athens, however, the team outscored the Bulldogs 45-22 in the second half. D'Moi Hodge and Nick Honor were both hot on an afternoon where their team shot better than 50 percent from both the field and the beyond the arc. Hodge led the Tigers with 18 points, but Honor was right behind him with 17.

Four MU players hit double digit scoring, including Noah Carter and DeAndre Gholston.

The win put Mizzou's road record for the season at 4-5. The group has a chance to make it a .500 away record with one more road trip on Wednesday.

Up next - Mizzou will make the trip to Baton Rouge to meet LSU on March 1. Tip off is at 8 p.m.
