Mizzou looks to keep emotions intact for road trip after OT win

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Mizzou men's basketball team is set to hit the road Saturday for a game at Georgia as the Tigers come off of an overtime home win on Tuesday against Mississippi State.

MU hasn't had great success so far this season on the road sitting at 3-5. Dennis Gates said Thursday it's important that his group keeps their emotions intact after the finish against the Bulldogs.

"Never get too high, never get too low," Gates said. "You look throughout the country and games are becoming more and more close. If you look at the SEC alone, last night games were very close and that's the part of the season that we're in."

Mizzou currently stands at 20-8 on the season and 8-7 in SEC play. Georgia is 16-12 on the year and 6-9 in conference games.

Tipoff Saturday at Stegeman Coliseum is set for noon.
