Mizzou WBB downs Mississippi State; back in the win column

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Mizzou women's basketball team put up a much-needed win against Mississippi State on Thursday night. The Tigers topped the Bulldogs 75-62 at Mizzou Arena.

MSU got out to an early lead against MU, but the Tigers stormed back in the second quarter to take a lead into the locker room. The group never looked back.

Senior Hayley Frank finished with a team-high 22 points in the win. Lauren Hansen was right behind her with 20 points on the night, 15 of which came in the second half. Hansen also became the 40th Tiger to score 1,000 career points.

Freshman Ashton Judd notched a career high 17 points on Thursday night, going 7-12 from the field and 3-3 from 3-point range.

Up next - Mizzou will head to College Station to meet Texas A&M on Monday, Feb. 20. Tip off is at 6 p.m.
